Learn About Dixie Flag Manufacturing Company

ABOUT US

Founded in 1958 by Henry P. Van de Putte, Sr., Dixie Flag Manufacturing Company is one of the most respected and trusted flag companies in the country. Dixie Flag has grown from a small home-based business to an industry leader specializing in U.S. flags, national flags, state flags, custom flags, banners, and décor. We are proud to work with an impressive roster of organizations and companies, including the San Antonio Spurs, Valero Alamo Bowl, U.S. Army All-American Bowl, San Antonio Fiesta Commission, Fiesta Oyster Bake and the Texas Folklife Festival. We are also honored to serve the United States military with flags, guidons, and accessories.

We have produced many large scale flags including the largest free-flying United States flag in the world, a 60’ x 90’ flag that flies on the George Washington Bridge between New York and New Jersey. We have made 150’ x 300’ flags to cover entire football fields and have manufactured flags for the last three presidential inaugurations.

Dixie Flag is open to the public. In addition to custom flags and banners, our retail Flag Store has one of the most complete selections of national, state, and historic flags available. Dixie Flag Manufacturing Company is located under a giant U.S. flag on I-35 near historic Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.  We have also been serving the internet community through our online store, http://dixieflag.com  for the last 10 years.

Dixie Flag truly is a family business. Today, company president, Henry “Pete” Van de Putte, Jr. is joined by a third generation Van de Puttes: Vanessa and Isabella.  We continue to encourage members of employees’ families to be part of the Dixie Flag family. We have mothers, fathers, daughters, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, and nephews working together.  We respect and encourage these relationships and as our company grows, we are able to provide more opportunities for our employees and their families.
